The Demolition of Kabuki Theatre

The old Kabuki theatre is going to be demolished soon. The last performance was already rendered last month. This is the picture of the old building. After the demolition, there will be a modern shopping complex with a Kabuki theatre in it. The construction of the new building will finish in 2013.








It's sad to see such an old building be demolished. Business is valued more than history in Japan so we can't or couldn't do much to prevent the destruction. I feel hollowed out.

Many people gather every day and night in front of the old theatre to have one last look.
